All students and staff members at KIIT are covered under comprehensive medical insurance and enjoy 24×7 access to the state-of-the-art healthcare facilities of Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS). In addition, KIIT extends its healthcare outreach beyond the campus by establishing medical facilities across various locations in Odisha to serve disadvantaged communities free of cost. KIIT Marks National Youth Day with Mega Blood Donation Drive

On January 12, 2024, KIIT’s School of Social, Financial and Human Sciences hosted a blood donation camp, collecting over 105 units. Supported by KIMS and led by faculty, staff, and students, the event celebrated youth contribution to society through service.

Engaging over 200 participants, the initiative promoted oral hygiene, preventive care, and early detection, enhancing community awareness and well-being

KIMS Organizes Pulse Polio Immunization Drive, 2024

Nationwide Pulse Polio Immunization drive on March 3, 2024, administering drops to over 350 children. Extensive IEC efforts ensured awareness. Odisha’s First Cadaveric Workshop on Direct Anterior Approach and Knee Arthroplasty

On 19.10.2024, KIMS held Odisha’s first cadaveric workshop on Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) for hip replacement and Unicondylar Knee Arthroplasty (UKA), attended by 80 surgeons nationally and internationally. Flash Mobs Spark HIV/AIDS Awareness by YRC KIIT

Youth Red Cross KIIT held dynamic flash mobs across Bhubaneswar on 8th November 2024 to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS and STIs. Backed by Odisha State AIDS Control Society, 50 volunteers performed and distributed educational material, fostering community dialogue, empathy, and awareness on global health concerns.

YRC KIIT Shines at District-Level Residential Training Program on Volunteering and Awareness

From November 22–24, 2024, YRC Odisha hosted a district-level training at Raja Madhusudan Dev College, Bhubaneswar. Volunteers from MBBS, Nursing, and Engineering actively participated. KIIT students excelled in competitions on AI and cancer awareness. The event enhanced volunteer skills under the leadership of esteemed YRC mentors and KIIT officials.

On 30.11.2024, World AIDS Day 2024, KINS, KIIT-DU organized an awareness rally, seminar, and poster presentations under the theme “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right.” Nursing students promoted HIV/AIDS awareness in Niladrivihar. Experts emphasized nursing roles, community engagement, and the DISHA Cluster initiative in HIV prevention and control

BCC-2024 Enhances Ophthalmic Surgical Skills through Cadaveric Training

On 24.12.2024, KIMS and LV Prasad Eye Institute jointly conducted the Bhubaneswar Cadaver Course (BCC)-2024 to refine ophthalmic surgical techniques. Thirty ophthalmologists participated in hands-on cadaveric dissections, focusing on orbital and lid anatomy, enhancing clinical precision and surgical competence in a real-tissue learning environment

YRC Hosts First Aid Training Camp at KIIT

KIIT’s Youth Red Cross held its Third Annual First Aid Training Camp on 8th December 2024. Led by Sri Laxman Swain, the session equipped volunteers with vital emergency skills like CPR, handling fractures, bites, and psychological first aid, promoting preparedness and awareness among young participants
