Participatory bodies to recognize and engage local Stakeholders
The KIIT Deemed to be University as a body has an existence of participatory bodies to recognize and engage local stakeholders, including local residents, local government, local private, local civil society representatives.
The University has participation from all its stakeholders in its major decision-making bodies. There is the representation of all its stakeholders like students, faculty, parents and alumni as well as members from local residents, and local civil bodies including academicians and industry personnel of repute in all its major policy-making bodies. Feedback from stakeholders plays a major part in all developmental work carried out in the University.
- Composition of various decision-making bodies in the University:
Board of Management
The Board of management is the highest governing body in the University. The elected members from the stakeholders have representation in the Board of management. The composition of the body is as follows.
- Vice-Chancellor – Chairman
- Pro Vice-Chancellor
- Deans of Faculties not exceeding two (by rotation and seniority)
- Eminent Academicians/ Industry personnel nominated by the Chancellor
- Three faculty members (from Professors, Associate Professors) by rotation based on Seniority.
- Nominee of the Sponsoring Society
- Two students: Invited Guests
- Registrar – Secretary

Academic Council
The Academic council is the highest academic body in the University. The composition of this council is as follows.
- Vice Chancellor – Chairman
- Pro Vice-Chancellor
- Deans / Directors of Faculties/ Schools
- Heads of various departments
- Ten Professors other than the Heads of the School by rotation of seniority.
- Three Associate Professors from the Departments other than the Heads of the Schools by rotation of seniority.
- Three Assistant Professors from the Departments by rotation of seniority.
- Persons amongst educationists of repute or persons from any other field related to activities of the University who are not in the service of the University, nominated by the Vice Chancellor
- Persons who are not members of the teaching staff co-opted by the Academic Council for the specialize knowledge
- Two students: invited guests
- Registrar, Secretary

Finance Committee
- Vice-Chancellor – Chairperson
- A Person Nominated by the Society
- Two Persons nominated by the Board of Management, one of them should be a Member of the Board of Management
- A Representative of the Central Government
- Finance Officer- Secretary
- Alumni- Invited Guest
Board of Studies
The Board of studies (BoS) for each School/Department looks into the academic aspects, developments, updates and revisions in curriculum for different programs offered by the School/Department. This committee is composed of experienced internal faculty members and external members who are the stakeholders for the School. There are representatives from other academic institutions of repute, representatives from the industry , alumni and parent. Internal Quality Assurance Cell
The University has internal quality assurance cell (IQAC) which monitors and assures the quality of teaching and learning of different academic programs, curriculum design, research methodology etc. It is composed of internal senior members and external stakeholders. Anti Ragging Committee
The anti-ragging committee is similarly composed to include both internal senior members of the University as well as external stakeholders. Details of the committee is provided in the following link

In the above all committee, elected members such as, nominee of the sponsoring society, persons amongst educationists, representative of the Central Government, person form industries, representative form media, police and NGO representing civil society representatives, local residents, local Government from the local stakeholders have meaningful participation in the University decision making process.
