Super-Specialty Hospital

The Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), a medical unit of KIIT University has etched its place among the premier medical institutions in Odisha and outside because of its consistent efforts to maintain and nurture the highest standard of medical care. It has 1,750 beds and each Department has state-of-art facilities to provide holistic care and treatment to the patients. It offers super speciality services with state-of-the-art equipment for Gastro Sciences, Cardiac Sciences, Neuro Sciences, Pediatric Sciences, Cancer Care centre, Rheumatology, Nephrology and Urology with dialysis and Kidney transplant facility.
School of Sports and Yogic Sciences

The University has established the School of Sports and Yogic Sciences to promote yogic practices and their benefits among students, staff, and the general public. Throughout the year, the university conducts awareness programs, webinars, and special sessions to foster a culture of holistic well-being.
The International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21st each year with great enthusiasm, bringing together students, faculty, and staff in a collective effort to embrace yoga’s physical and mental benefits.
Additionally, KIIT integrates diverse pedagogical approaches in its teaching-learning process. - Launch of ‘Sports For All’ Program (August 29, 2023): To commemorate National Sports Day, KIIT initiated the “Sports For All” program, aiming to encourage widespread participation in sports among students and staff. The event also marked the inauguration of international standard sports academies and the Pramod Bhagat Indoor Badminton Hall.

Awareness Programme

The University has been actively organizing medical camps and awareness programs across various districts of Odisha. These initiatives focus on promoting hygiene, sanitation, infectious disease control, preventive healthcare measures, healthy nutrition, balanced eating habits, and cleanliness among different age groups. Additionally, awareness campaigns highlight the adverse effects of tobacco products and alcohol consumption.
To further its commitment to public health, KIIT DU has established wellness clinics in Bhubaneswar and multiple districts across the state. These clinics, supported by the university’s medical unit, offer services in naturopathy, counseling, rehabilitation, and de-addiction therapy. Over 1,00,000 individuals have benefited from these facilities, overcoming mental stress and severe addiction.

- Dental Screening and Treatment Camps:
- JSW GBS, Bhubaneswar (July 5, 2024): Employees received dental check-ups and treatments during this camp.
- KIIT International School (July 9–16, 2024): A six-day camp screened students daily, emphasizing early detection and treatment of dental issues.
- Panikoili (July 20, 2024): A dental screening camp at Seshadev Basanti Government High School addressed dental caries among children.
- Quality in Healthcare Workshop (October 16–17, 2023): The KIIT School of Public Health conducted a two-day workshop covering topics like quality improvement tools, clinical audits, and accreditation standards.
